We want preparing for your Cornwall holiday to be as straightforward as possible. When you stay with Golds Cornish Holidays in Hayle, Cornwall, a number of essentials are provided so you don’t have to bring everything from home.
This guide explains what’s included, what you’ll need to bring yourself and what you should check on your individual apartment page before travelling.
Bed Linen & Towels
Bed linen and towels are provided for your stay, so there’s no need to bring your own everyday bedding or bathroom towels.
Do I need to bring beach towels?
Yes. Beach towels are not provided unless specifically stated for your accommodation.
If you’re planning on visiting the beaches around Hayle, St Ives Bay or elsewhere in Cornwall, we recommend packing your own beach towels rather than taking the towels supplied with your apartment to the beach.
Wi-Fi During Your Stay
Wi-Fi is provided where available, making it easier to plan days out, check local information and stay connected during your holiday.
As with most residential internet connections, availability, speed and reliability can occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our control and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Guests are responsible for using the internet lawfully during their stay.
Self-Catering Facilities
Our accommodation is provided on a self-catering basis, giving you the freedom to prepare your own food, eat out locally or combine the two throughout your holiday.
Kitchen facilities and equipment can vary between apartments.
Before travelling, check your individual property page for the facilities available within the accommodation you’ve booked. If a particular appliance or piece of equipment is essential to your stay, please contact us beforehand rather than assuming it will be provided.
What Should I Pack for My Stay?
Although many of the essentials are provided, there are a few things worth checking before you set off for Cornwall.
We recommend bringing:
- Beach towels if you’re planning beach days
- Personal toiletries
- Any specialist food, baby or pet items you require
- Chargers for phones and personal devices
- Any medication or personal essentials
- Suitable clothing and footwear for the activities you have planned
You don’t need to bring your own bed linen or standard bathroom towels, as these are supplied.
What Should I Check Before Travelling?
Every Golds Cornish Holidays property is different, so the facilities available in one apartment may not necessarily be available in another.
Before packing, check your individual accommodation page for information about:
- Kitchen facilities and appliances
- Bedroom and sleeping arrangements
- Bathroom facilities
- Wi-Fi
- Parking
- Pet suitability
- Maximum occupancy
- Any additional property-specific amenities
If something is particularly important to your stay and isn’t clearly stated, please ask us before travelling.
Travelling With Children
If you’re staying with babies or young children, check your chosen property’s facilities before packing.
Don’t assume that specialist children’s equipment is supplied unless it is specifically listed for your accommodation.
If you require a particular item for your child, please contact us before your stay so you can confirm whether you’ll need to bring it with you.
Bringing a Dog?
Dogs are permitted only at our designated dog-friendly holiday properties.
If you’re bringing a dog, check that pets are permitted at your chosen accommodation and review any property-specific information before travelling.
You should bring everything your dog will need for the holiday unless an item is specifically stated as being provided.
Guests are responsible for keeping pets under control, cleaning up after them and preventing damage to the accommodation.
What Isn’t Provided?
If an item or facility isn’t specifically listed as being included with your apartment, please don’t assume that it will be available.
This is particularly important if you require a specific appliance, accessibility feature, children’s item or other facility during your stay.
If you’re unsure, contact Golds Cornish Holidays before your arrival and we can help clarify what is available at your chosen property.
Every Apartment Is Different
Golds Cornish Holidays offers a selection of self-catering holiday accommodation in Hayle near St Ives Bay, and each property has its own layout, capacity, facilities and features.
Your individual apartment page is therefore the best place to check exactly what is included with the property you’ve booked.
We recommend reviewing it alongside your booking confirmation before travelling so you know exactly what to expect when you arrive.
Before You Set Off
A quick check before leaving home can make arriving at your holiday accommodation much easier.
Make sure you have your booking confirmation, property address, arrival instructions, key or access information and any property-specific information provided to you.
Once you’ve checked those details and packed anything that isn’t supplied, you’ll be ready to enjoy your stay in Hayle and St Ives Bay.
